Curl Version 6.0 Beta DownloadsThe beta installation will expire January 1st, 2008. As of October 16, 2007, a new version of the 6.0 Beta has been posted along with a new version of the Styled Controls library. You must use the version of the library that goes with the version of the RTE you downloaded. You can download the beta version of the 6.0 Curl RTE, Curl IDE or a 60-day free trial of the Curl/Pro IDE. The purpose of the beta is to allow users to have an early look at the new features available in the upcoming version 6.0 release. The beta version of the Curl RTE and IDE are available for both Windows and Linux. On Linux, you must download the beta version of the 6.0 Curl RTE and install it before you install the IDE. Note: The IDE installed with the above installers begins as a Curl/Personal IDE. To start the trial Curl/Pro IDE trial, start the IDE and from the Help -> About the Curl IDE dialog, press the 'Start Curl/Pro IDE Trial..." button. The IDE will become a Curl/Pro IDE for sixty days, after which, the IDE reverts to a Curl/Personal IDE. Styled Controls LibraryThe COM.CURL.GUI.STYLED library is an add-on library that provides style sheets and skinned controls for the Curl GUI Toolkit. It is compatable with version 6.0 beta of the Curl RTE. The library and documentation detailing how to use styled controls in your application can be found here. 6.0 DemosThe 6.0 versions of some of the demos currently available on www.curl.com. In order to view the demos, you must have the 6.0 Beta Curl RTE installed. Sample of typical applications can be viewed here. There are three options to choose from. Enterprise software demos: prototypes of various enterprise-related applications, highlighting Curl capabilities that can help build better business applications. Fun and games: Have some fun.
