The Curl runtime environment (RTE)
is the runtime engine that executes Curl applications
and renders the resulting content on a client machine.
The Curl RTE is provided free of charge and you need to install it
on your client machine before using Curl applications on that machine.
The Version 6.0 Beta release is intended
for developers who want to get an advance look at the new features
available in the forthcoming Version 6.0 release of the Curl RTE and
Curl/Pro IDE. Some of the new features include:
High Quality rendering mode
Skinnable Controls
Style Sheets
Outside Margin and Shadows for GUI objects
Curl serialization support for Java
Add JSON parse and format support
Add support for Flash cross domain.xml file to allow unprivileged access to a web server
The Mac Beta release of the RTE is intended for developers
who want to see their applets run on the Macintosh. Please

The Curl Integrated Development Environment (IDE) helps you develop Curl applications.
It includes tools such as
a source-code editor, a debugger,
a drag-and-drop Visual Layout Editor,
project management and deployment tools,
and comprehensive documentation about the Curl platform.
When you are ready to deploy a Curl application, you will need a server license.
If you are a noncommercial user,
you may be able to use a Curl/Personal server license,
available at no charge.
